The cards feature Brian's faerie images, such as the enchanting Queen of Golden Bough and the mischievous Trickster. Wendy's text describes the emotional and practical nature of the cards and offers a variety of techniques for using the set. Arlen Bales, formerly of the small hamlet of Tibbet's Brook, learnt harsh lessons about life as he grew up in a world where hungry demons stalk the night and humanity is trapped by its own fear. He chose a different path; chose to fight inherited apathy and the corelings, and he became the Painted Man. But the figure emerging from the desert is not Arlen. He is a friend and betrayer, and though he carries the spear from the Deliverer's tomb, he heads a vast army intent on a holy war against the demon plague.

Peter went to the University at Buffalo, where he studied gaming, fencing, and girls. Following college, Peter spent approximately eight months managing a comic shop and pondering what to do with his life. He then went into medical publishing and squandered ten years of his physical prime sitting in a cubicle. He contented himself with writing books he never hoped to sell. Ghost Stories, running at the Lyric Hammersmith, London from 24 February to 03 April 2010, is a truly terrifying theatrical experience from The League of Gentlemen’s master of the macabre, Jeremy Dyson, and Andy Nyman, co-creator and director of Derren Brown’s television and stage shows and star of Dead Set and Severance.

Jeremy Dyson has won numerous awards as the co-writer of the hilariously bleak The League of Gentlemen; including a Perrier Award, BAFTA Award for Best Comedy and the Golden Rose of Montreux. The stage show he co-penned, A Local Show for Local People, was nominated for an Olivier Award in 2002.

Andy Nyman is the award-winning co-writer and co-creator of the acclaimed TV productions Derren Brown - Mind Control and Trick of the Mind. He co-wrote and co-directed Derren Brown Live, An Evening of Wonders and Derren's most recent live show - Enigma. Andy also won the Best Entertainment Olivier Award in 2005 for Something Wicked This Way Comes. Forbidden Planet is delighted to be hosting a second visit by Matt ‘Lunartik’ JOnes’ on the 'Custom Tea Tour', showcasing his latest vinyl figure, Lunartik In A Cup Of Tea.

After a sucessful European Tour, which kicked off in Forbdden Planet London, the exhibition will showcase customised brews by some of the world’s finest vinyl artists. From 10th to 31st January, the window of Forbidden Planet Bristol will be displaying one-off custom works by Jon Burgerman, Pete Fowler, Jeremyville, Triclops, Doc. A, The Toasters, Mr. Scruff and many others.

And from 1:00pm on Sunday 10th January, Matt ‘Lunartik’ JOnes will be in our window himself with a live urban art performance - decorating our glass in a way it’s never seen before!

Matt JOnes, also the designer of the 3D version of our famous ‘rocket’ brand, will be available to chat and sign toys all afternoon.

Top comics artist and writer LIAM SHARP will be signing the graphic novel of Gears of War at the Forbidden Planet London Megastore on Thursday 10th December 6 – 7pm.

Artist, writer, publisher and some-time rocker frontman, Liam’s career spans from the solid roots of 2000AD through the hallowed halls of Marvel and Wildstorm and into designing a Heavy Metal magazine strip for Playboy model Tiffany Taylor. In 2004, he set up his own publishing company, Mam Tor, and rapidly expanded the brand into the independent comic market – including the publication of the award-winning Mam Tor: Event Horizon.

Now working for DC, Liam has provided the illustrations for the game-based Gears of War graphic novel that tells the story of Marcus Fenix’s Delta Squad… and what really happened between the Lightmass bombing and the opening of the second game.

He has also written and published God Killers, a powerfully visual collection of novellas and short stories dealing with an epic, time-travelling hero and building to a cataclysmic finale of emptiness, nothing and ‘vile space’.

Contemporary fantasy is about far more than escape. Bradley James (Arthur) and Angel Coulby (Guinevere) will be signing The Adventures of Merlin: The Official Annual and The Adventures of Merlin: Complete Guide plus a full range of other Merlin titles.

Bradley James is a relative newcomer to television but has managed to make his mark in each role he has taken on. He made his television debut in the ITV series Lewis in 2008, in a recurring role opposite Kevin Whately and Laurence Fox, before moving onto Shine’s teen drama Dis/Connected on BBC Three. Bradley’s passion for sports, including football, athletics and cricket, has helped him in his physically demanding role as a young Arthur in Merlin.

Angel's impressive credits include Doctor Who, Life is Wild, Hustle, Tripping Over, Making Waves, International Emmy nominated crime drama Vincent, and BBC medical dramas Holby City and Casualty. Angel also featured in the BBC Three sitcom The Visit. She has worked with Shine before, on teen drama As If. Angel was a member of the National Theatre, and performed in productions including The Statement of Regret and The Importance of Being Ernest.

Torchwood/Doctor Who writer James Moran has created a 6 x 5 minute web thriller, with feature director Dan Turner.

Vincent Boylan (Joe Absolom) has just been arrested, suspected of being behind the brutal murder of seven girls, but the team only have a limited time to get a confession out of him. If they cant make him talk, he could slip through their fingers. Detective Matheson (Gareth David-Lloyd), who led the investigation, is sent in to try and get some answers. But things soon take a horrifying turn for the worse, as Matheson and his boss Lyndon (Tracy-Ann Oberman) are about to find out all is not what it seems.

In Grandville, Talbot brings us a glorious steampunk masterpiece. Inspired by the work of the nineteenth-century French illustrator Gerard, it tells the story of detective Inspector LeBrock of Scotland Yard as he stalks a gang of murderers through the heart of Belle Epoque Paris. In this alternative reality, France is the major world power and its capital is thronged with steam-driven hansom cabs, automatons and flying machines. The characters are mostly animals, though there is an underclass of humans who resemble the 'clear-line' characters of Herge's Tintin books. Grandville is an audacious rollercoaster ride that will add to Talbot's reputation as one of the best graphic novelists in the world.

Listing the accomplishments of Bryan Talbot is a daunting task – arguably the creator of the first British graphic novel, ‘The Adventures of Luther Arkwright’, the credits to his name are too numerous to mention. Featuring Vinnie Jones and based on the short story by Clive Barker, Midnight Meat Train is the horrific tale of Leon, a New York photographer who saves a woman from being attacked. The woman then disappears and the police show no interest in Leon's story, forcing him to track down the killer on the subway system himself.

It’s a very special moment for us to be welcoming Eoin Colfer, signing the sixth book in the Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy trilogy And Another Thing at the Forbidden Planet Megastore, 179 Shaftesbury Avenue, London, WC2H 8JR, on Wednesday 14th October 6 – 7pm.

Adams himself said that the Hitchhiker’s series deserved a sixth book to end the story on an upbeat note; Eoin Colfer, best known for his wonderful Artemis Fowl series, is true follower of Adams’ legacy with his views of the absurdities of life, the universe and everything.
